Opening the Safe for the First Time Step 1: Place the safe on a stable, secure surface. Remove the emergency lock. Step 2: Insert the emergency keys and turn them counterclockwise. Turn the knob clockwise to open the safe. Step 3: Open the battery compartment and install 4 AA batteries (not included). Step 4: Press the reset button, enter a new 3-8 digit passcode, and press "#" to confirm. Close the door and turn the knob counterclockwise to lock it.
